Mike Wolfe—the guy from American Pickers—is back with a new show called History’s Greatest Picks. And before it premiered, he dropped a little list that might make you look at your dusty basement with fresh eyes.
Turns out, you don’t have to be a pro picker to strike gold. Wolfe says some of the most valuable stuff is hiding in plain sight—like old jeans from the 1930s, mid-century furniture from the ‘50s, and those “obsolete” gadgets you swore you’d toss someday.
He’s talking vintage clothes, clunky electronics, coin-operated machines (think jukeboxes and pinball), and even those cassette tapes or DVDs you kept “just in case.” Oh—and if you’ve got an old bike or toy that survived your childhood, don’t sleep on it. Nostalgia pays.
Wolfe’s whole point? We’re all treasure hunters at heart. So before you drag those boxes to the curb, maybe give them another look. There might be more than just spiders down there.
