Cassettes are officially cool again! And Maxell’s cashing in on it. They’ve just brought back their classic personal tape player, but this time, it’s got Bluetooth, USB-C charging, and yes… a headphone jack. Imagine that—a jack, in 2026.
The battery lasts about 11 hours, which is plenty of time to relive your teenage heartbreak mixtape. It even comes with a belt clip, because apparently no retro revival is complete without one.
They’re selling for around $80 on Amazon—not bad if you’ve still got your old tapes lying around. Or if you want to make new ones, you can grab a five-pack of blanks for about 15 bucks.
Maxell’s leaning hard into the nostalgia, and honestly? I’m not mad about it. After all, not every trend from the ‘80s deserves a comeback—but this one kinda does.
