CPKC Holiday Train Brings Smashmouth to Pittsburg, Joplin Saturday November 29

The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train returns to the Four States at the end of the month and they're bringing iconic musical acts with them.

The full-sized Christmas parade on rails, complete with twinkle lights, music, and a mission, rolls into Pittsburg, Kansas, at 11 a.m. on November 29, right along North Michigan Avenue. Then, two hours later, it chugs into Joplin, pulling up at the historic Union Depot.

and The train itself? Pure holiday cheer. One of the boxcars unfolds into a stage for a 30-minute concert, and this year Joplin gets J.J. Wilde and Smash Mouth. Yes, that Smash Mouth!

The tour runs November 19 through December 21 across Canada and the U.S., raising money, food, and awareness for local food banks. CPKC donates at every stop, and they'll happily take your canned goods or cash too.

Parking is limited in the Union Depot area, so consider carpooling. The rough natural terrain can be challenging for people needing assistance. holiday groupies are asked to access the Union Depot grounds from "B" and N. Main Street.
