Teddy the dog may have just won the internet with a one-second guest spot during Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature.”
In a YouTube Short, Teddy is sitting in his mom’s arms, wearing an oversized black bow tie, because apparently he has a stylist, while she sings along to the song. Then comes that famous “why, whyyyy” part.
Right on cue, Teddy tips his head back, closes his eyes, lets out a tiny howl… and somehow appears to throw in a little vocal run at the end.
Yes, a dog may have just ad-libbed Michael Jackson.
The comments immediately demanded a record deal, with one person asking if Teddy just slipped a trill into his performance. Another pointed out he hit the notes and had the nerve to ad-lib. Fair assessment.
Dogs do sometimes howl when music or certain voices hit the right note, so Teddy probably wasn’t auditioning for a comeback tour. But with that timing, that bow tie, and that level of commitment? He’s already got the look of a tiny pop star who will absolutely insist on a green room full of squeaky toys.
