Experience History In Carthage This Weekend

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, Carthage, Missouri is basically time-traveling… but with food, drinks, and live music.

It’s called “Experience History,” and they went ahead and stacked three big events into weekend.

Friday night kicks off with a block party at Boots Court from 5:30 to 8:30. Think classic cars, live music, food trucks… the kind of evening where you say you’ll stay an hour and suddenly it’s dark.

Also Friday and Saturday night, the Carthage Stampede is back at Municipal Park starting at 6. Rodeo, dirt, adrenaline… plus it’s celebrating 250 years of America, 100 years of Route 66, and 49 years of doing this whole rodeo thing right. Tickets are cheaper if you plan ahead, which… feels like solid life advice in general.

Then Saturday and Sunday, catch the reenactment of the Civil Wars Battle of Carthage. Battle scenes, camp life, a Civil War Ball, even a church service on Sunday if you stick around. It’s the full “step back in time” experience.

Cars, cowboys, cannons. Not a bad way to spend a weekend.
