Valentine’s Day is Saturday—which means many of you will be spending the day with the one who actually loves you unconditionally: your dog. How about some fun ideas to show them some extra love.
First things first—treats. Grab some Valentine’s dog treats, because nothing says “I love you” like heart-shaped snacks you can’t eat but your dog totally can.
Next, go for a little drive. Roll down the windows, blast some tunes. (Perhaps Classic Hits 93.9?)
Too wet and cold out? Stay in and play. Tug of war, fetch, maybe a round of Treat Tic Tac Toe—where everyone wins… mostly the dog, though.
If you do step outside, hit your favorite walking trail. Even a stroll around the block counts. They don’t care where—just that you’re together.
Feeling social? Host a doggie double date. Food for the humans, treats for the pups, and maybe a cozy movie after—something with dogs, obviously.
Round it out with a quick photoshoot. Dress ‘em up or keep it casual—but capture that “you’re my Valentine” look. Bonus points for matching outfits.
Bottom line: Dogs don’t need flowers or fancy dinners. Just your time, attention, and maybe one more Milk-Bone.
