Highway 400 at Cherokee Closes for Rail Crossing Repairs

Commuters using Highway 400 through Cherokee, KS will need to find an alternate route Wednesday and Thursday this week (9/13 - 9/14), due to a closure to repair a railroad crossing.

The crossing will be closed to traffic between the hours of 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday.

Eastbound U.S. 400 traffic will detour south on K-7 to K-103, east on K-103 to U.S. 69, and north on U.S. 69 to the U.S. 400/K-171/U.S. 160 junction.

Westbound traffic will take the same detour in the opposite direction. You may use the approved detour provided HERE!

K-103 is narrow, and passes through Weir, KS. Drive with caution.
