Joplin Live Christmas Tree Dropoff

So, Joplin’s giving your poor, dried-up Christmas tree a second chance at life. Through January 31, you can drop it off—stripped naked of ornaments, of course—at one of three spots: Humphrey Park, McIndoe Park, or the Public Works Center on West 2nd Street. Just look for the “Christmas Tree Drop-Off” signs.

If you’re the outdoorsy type, you can even grab one for fish habitat projects—yes, apparently fish love recycled Christmas trees. Whatever’s left gets turned into mulch, which feels like poetic justice.

And when you’re ditching holiday leftovers like wrapping paper, gift boxes, or that hopeless tangle of lights, the Joplin Recycling Center’s your next stop. It’s on West A Street, open Tuesday through Saturday—hours vary a bit, and it’s closed Sundays, Mondays, and on the big holidays.

If you need the details, give them a ring at 417-624-0820, ext. 1501.
