"Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" just dropped on streaming — perfect timing if you need a movie to avoid talking to your family over the holidays. You can rent it for twenty bucks or buy it for twenty-five on Prime Video, Apple TV, or Fandango.
It stars Jeremy Allen White — yeah, the guy from *The Bear* — as Bruce Springsteen during the making of *Nebraska*, which he recorded in his Jersey bedroom back in ’82. Super raw, super moody, lots of denim energy.
Here’s the best part: White actually sings and plays guitar in the movie. Which is wild, because before filming, he’d basically never touched a guitar. He spent seven months training with a vocal coach who’s coached Elvis (well, Austin Butler’s Elvis) and Timothée Chalamet for his Bob Dylan role. Dedication, man.
Anyway, it’s streaming now — grab your flannel and maybe a harmonica. This one’s pure Springsteen.
