Storms rolled in Friday night and Saturday morning, sending a large tree chunk crashing onto our garage roof and leaving a nice hole the size of my hand.
I needed a quick fix but all the hardware stores had no satisfactory solutions.
Luckily, I was able to whip up a tasty repair mix. Added some spicy Zing Zang to a cereal malt beverage supporting my alma mater to make it count as a vegetable.
Cut the can into a neat rectangle that covered most of the hole, slapped on some paintable leak repair tape, and finished it off with a coat of rubberized Rustoleum undercoat paint.
Now we wait for the insurance adjuster to give us a puzzled look and snicker.
