Cheesesteak Chucking Chucklehead Sought for Sandwich Assault

Philadelphia’s cheesesteak wars just got a little more meaty, and a whole lot more stupid.

Some clown rolled into Pat’s King of Steaks in South Philly Wednesday with a camera and tripod. He ordered a Whiz-with cheesesteak, came back a few minutes later, declared it “garbage”... then launched the sandwich, leaving longtime manager Tom Francano, with a full-on flying cheesesteak facial.

Francano’s worked there nearly 50 years, so he’s probably survived drunks, tourists, bad tippers, and every loudmouth with an opinion about onions, but apparently not a food-reviewing fugitive with a beefy grudge.

The guy took off before cops arrived. He’s described as about six feet tall, wearing a blue Under Armour jacket, black shorts, and red Beats headphones.

Pat’s is offering five grand for information leading to an arrest, and prosecution of the sandwich slinging "culinary critic." 

Francano will be OK. The cheesesteak? Tragically, it did not survive.
