Cop’s Booze Cruise Ends in DUI Arrest
By Thom Watts·October 26, 2026
Florida officer Joseph Everett allegedly drove his marked patrol car the wrong way through downtown Orlando, with an open Four Loko riding shotgun.
Police say the 29-year-old blew a point-two-six-six. More than three times the legal limit.
Then he tried calling his wife, but kept giving officers seven digits for a six-digit phone passcode. Even his phone wasn’t letting him off easy.
And here’s the kicker: Haines City hired him just three months ago, after he’d left another department following a separate DUI arrest. That charge was dropped.
His explanation back then? He’d consumed “about three coffee mugs of whiskey” the night before. Quite the breakfast blend.
This time, he was arrested for DUI, fired while still in jail, and released on $1500 bond.
Second chance. Same stupid results.
