Football Fan Facing Felonies Over Sunday Silence Scheme

There’s no replay angle that makes this look good. In Richmond, Virginia, Terry Ward wanted some peace and quiet for football. Now he's facing charges.
Ward is accused of taping his wife to a chair and leaving her in the basement.
His wife told police she was stuck there for 30 to 45 minutes. Officers reported marks and tape residue on both arms. And according to the criminal complaint, Terry admitted he’d tied her up and left her downstairs.
The football motive…to watch the Ravens vs. the Falcons? Reported, but not confirmed by police. The restraints? Those left evidence... on her skin.
Now he’s facing felony abduction and misdemeanor assault charges, with an upcoming court date.
He allegedly wanted an uninterrupted evening. Instead, he got a criminal complaint, and a considerably less comfortable place to watch games in the future.
