From Bail Money To Jail Money

A guy in South Carolina gets tossed in jail for trespassing — nothing major. Next morning, he’s standing in front of the judge, and his bail is set at $250. Easy enough, right? He pulls out a wad of cash, hands over four crisp $100 bills, and says, “Keep the change.” Like he’s tipping the judge for good service.

Only problem — the money looked… off. The judge flips it over and sees Chinese writing on the back. Not exactly something you want on Ben Franklin’s face.

Turns out, our guy’s “bail money” was counterfeit. So instead of heading home, he picked up a couple of new charges — felony forgery and contempt of court — and his bond jumped six grand.
