Guinness Gone After Pints Pilfered

Guinness Gone After Pints Pilfered Quapaw Casino New Location

British police have a stout mystery on their hands: somebody made off with two truckloads of Guinness near Liverpool.

We’re talking roughly 70,000 pints—about 800 barrels—headed for pubs before two drivers allegedly rolled into an industrial park and simply hauled the trailers away. The beer alone is worth around $155,000, and the trailers add another $67,000 to the tab.

Police don’t have leads yet, which means somewhere in Britain, somebody may be hosting the world’s most suspiciously well-stocked backyard bash.

And this comes on the heels thieves in Southern California absconding with about 34,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. So apparently beer heists are having a moment.

As one British detective put it, Guinness may be good for you… but only after it’s been bought and paid for.
