Lottery Jackpot Winner Arrested for FOURTH Time

So, apparently winning $167 million does not come with a “how not to get arrested four times” manual.

There’s this guy, James Farthing from Georgetown, Kentucky — he hit the Powerball in April, biggest jackpot in state history, said he was going to split it with his mom and give her the best Mother’s Day ever. Since then, it’s been less “dream life” and more “episode of Cops.”

On Sunday, after a boating trip, police say he got into an argument with a woman, allegedly put his hands around her neck and restricted her breathing. He’s now in Scott County Jail on felony domestic violence charges: first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault. He went to court, pled not guilty, got a $15,000 bond, and has to stay away from her and wear a monitoring device so they know if he ignores that.

And this isn’t a one-off. Since the jackpot, he’s been arrested four times, including down in Florida where he’s accused of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest after allegedly kicking a cop trying to break up a fight. The “lottery curse” is starting to look less like a myth and more like this guy’s personal brand.
