Mammoth Mistake at Ozarks Museum

Mammoth Mistake at Ozarks Museum Southwest Waste Service

So, two guys from California made some truly prehistoric bad decisions while visiting the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum at the Top of the Rock in Ridgedale, Missouri.

Brett Howard and Todd Azevedo — who are both old enough to know better — were checking out the museum when one genius said, “Hey, lift me up so I can grab that mammoth tusk.”

Now, this wasn’t some replica at a roadside gift shop — it was a 10,000-year-old, 200-pound fossil worth about $200,000. The guy gets hoisted up, grabs it, and — shocker — the tusk snaps, crashes to the floor, and shatters. Not exactly a great moment for teamwork.

They tried to run, but security cameras caught everything — clear as a nature documentary. Museum staff caught up with them, the sheriff got called, and now both are facing felony charges. Each could get up to four years in prison, which, let’s face it, is a pretty tough way to learn that nothing’s worse than breaking a tooth on vacation..
