Man Arrested For Illegally Parked Guillotine

A guy in Washington, D.C. got nailed for illegal parking this week… and the parking situation got a little more complicated, because in the bed of his pickup, was a 10-foot-tall guillotine.
Philan-Tam-Duy Le, from Southern California, was parked near the Supreme Court and Capitol area Tuesday when officers noticed the truck. They found the wooden guillotine—with a metal blade sharpened at an angle—and decided this was not your standard parking violation.
He reportedly had a concealed-carry permit, which is kind of beside the point when the weapon in question is roughly the size of a backyard swing set and visible from three ZIP codes away.
Police confiscated it and charged him with carrying a dangerous weapon, along with the illegal-parking citation. It’s still unclear whether the guillotine actually worked, was some kind of prop, or was just the world’s most alarming road-trip companion.
But the BIG question, how did this thing make it all the way from California to D.C. before anyone said, “Sir… what exactly is that?”
