Pint Sized Soccer Phenom Sparks Supersized Parent Drama
By Thom Watts·October 28, 2026
In Winter Park, Florida, a 3-year old soccer player named Nevada was playing against five-year-olds. His parents say he was running circles around them, and some grown-ups couldn’t swallow that with their orange slices.
Then the cops showed up.
Now, before we book a toddler for aggravated dribbling, there’s another side.
According to the police report, the league director called about a disruptive parent, not a pint-sized scoring machine. He said Nevada was being dropped from the league because of his parents’ behavior, with a refund promised. His parents say they were defending their kid from complaints about his playing.
And despite the viral claims, police say nobody was arrested, trespassed, or forced out of the park.
So, we’ve got competing stories, bruised feelings, and police at preschool soccer.
