Special Olympics Kansas Southeast Region is the Zimmer Cares featured charity for the final month of 2026.
Their "Sip, Shop & Inclusion" fundraiser is Thursday, November 19th, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts, 1711 South Homer in Pittsburg.
The evening starts with shopping from local boutiques and businesses. Then, Special Olympics Kansas athletes take over the runway, modeling clothing and accessories from participating shops, and giving those purchases a little personality.
There’ll be refreshments, entertainment, and a chance to support more than a thousand Special Olympics athletes across Southeast Kansas.
The money raised helps provide year-round sports training, competitions, health and leadership programs, and more opportunities for the athletes.
So you can shop local, cheer on the models, and help make those opportunities happen.
A little shopping, a little runway swagger, and a whole lot of purpose.
