Suspect Pleads Potty Break After Police Pursuit New-Mac Electric

In Pierce County, Washington, a stolen work van wound up nose-down in a ditch. Witnesses say a man stashes tools in the bushes, then strolls away.
Deputies launch a drone and follow their suspect through a beehive farm, past a chicken coop, and into thick brush. The man makes one last run for it before they catch him.
His explanation? He doesn’t know why he’s being arrested. He was just “pooping in the woods.” Quite the scenic route for a bathroom emergency.
Witnesses identify him as the man who left the van. Deputies arrest him on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and obstruction.
The woodland bathroom defense? Apparently, it didn’t pass the sniff test.
