Between now and Labor Day—what they call the “100 deadliest days”—crashes go up, especially with teen drivers. Add in road trips, ATVs, summer sports… it’s a whole season of “uh-oh.” One serious accident can burn through up to 100 units of blood. From one person.
And here’s the kicker—90% of the blood supply comes from people who actually schedule appointments. And lately? Those have fallen off hard.
Doctors say when someone’s bleeding badly, every minute without blood raises the risk of death by 11%. So yeah… this isn’t one of those “I’ll get around to it” things.
