This gives new meaning to "separation anxiety.”
In a WILD viral video, a Pilipino fisherman had reeled in an octopus, and the little sea Houdini immediately latched onto his face. Jesser Cervantes was on a wooden dinghy when the eight-armed escape artist wrapped itself around his head, covering his mouth and refusing to clock out.
He tried peeling it off one arm at a time, which, SURPRISE, was not working. So, unable to breathe and apparently out of better ideas, he grabbed a piece of bamboo and gave the octopus a few taps until it finally released its deluxe facial grip.
Cervantes tossed it back into the water and took a minute to reconsider every life choice that led to getting mugged by seafood.
Octopuses have powerful suckers that work like tiny vacuum seals, so this was less “catch of the day” and more “armed and dangerous.”
