Freed Felon Flees in Firetruck

Richmond Johnson gets arrested for trespassing around midnight… nothing wild yet. He’s out of jail by 3:30 in the morning. Fresh air, new start, maybe grab a snack—nope. A fire engine pulls up to the jail on a medical call.

Johnson thinks, “you know what this night needs? A sequel.”

While firefighters are inside, he hops in the truck… and drives off. Just casually steals a whole fire engine like it’s a borrowed bicycle.

Police chase him across two cities, hit him with stop sticks, and finally bring the flaming joyride to an end in downtown Longmont. He tries to make a run for it—because of course he does—but gets caught pretty quickly.

Now he’s back in custody facing a stack of felony charges… which, ironically, probably took longer to list than his freedom did.

And yeah—the fire truck didn’t make it out unscathed. Turns out, those aren’t built for grand theft detours.
