This dude in Florida really, really wanted a septic tank. First, he shows up to a construction site and tries hauling it off with—wait for it—a Toyota Corolla. Yeah, that went exactly how you think it did. Someone in a Jeep chased him off, so he leaves empty-handed.
But persistence is a thing, apparently. The next day, he comes back with a U-Haul. This time, he actually gets the septic tank loaded up—plus about $2,500 worth of electrical pipe—and drives off like it’s a successful upgrade from “what could go wrong” to “what did go wrong.”
Detectives eventually tracked him down—turns out, covering your license plate with tape doesn’t make you invisible. He’s now facing grand theft and a few other classy charges. Florida, man… always fighting constipation of common sense.
