Dude Walks Out On Tab, Busted When He Came Back For Phone Charger

Sunday night in Florida, Benjamin Rakel skipped out on a $64 bar tab at Whiskey Wings, told the staff he’s broke, and left behind two empty debit cards like that’ll cover it. Bold move, right? He promised he’d be back Monday to pay, and technically, he does come back—just not for that. He shows up Monday night… for his phone charger.

Of course, the staff recognizes him faster than a buy-one-get-one wing deal, calls the cops, and he’s arrested around midnight. He tried explaining to police that he had a Cash App card this whole time, but apparently, that financial wizardry didn’t make the bill disappear. Now he’s facing a charge for trying to dine and dash—on an order of poor life choices.
