Fast and Furry-ous in Florida

Down in Florida, Gregory Dolcine gets pulled over doing 101 in a 55. Middle of the night, 1 A.M., car practically taking flight over a bridge. The deputy asks “What were you thinking?,” and the guy goes, “I was speeding to avoid an animal.”

Now, that’s a new one. Was it a gator? A python? Maybe the Florida “Skunk Ape?” Because you don’t exactly floor it to dodge a squirrel. Whatever it was, it apparently justified hitting triple digits.

Anyway, turns out Florida’s got a new law that makes 100-plus a criminal offense if you’re putting others at risk—so Gregory got himself arrested and bonded out for $500. No word on the animal, though. Probably still out there—laughing.
