Man Arrested for GUI (Galloping Under The Influence)

So, in Kentucky, police pulled over a guy for—get this—riding a horse drunk. Yep. Not driving. Galloping. Through a neighborhood in Bowling Green, no less.

According to the report, Jorge Hernandez had just left a liquor store and was “partially slumped over” his brown vehicle—which turned out to have four legs and a tail. He’s literally sitting on it when the cop spots him wobbling down the sidewalk.

The officer does a “traffic stop,” because even horses need to obey traffic laws, apparently. Hernandez smelled like booze, had bloodshot eyes, and slurred his words. He told police he was just heading home… on horseback… with a liquor store bag still tied to the saddle.

After failing some field sobriety tests, he was arrested for “galloping under the influence.” His arrest report lists the vehicle make as “other,” model year 2024, color—brown. No word on who got custody of the actual horse, but I’m guessing it blew a 0.0.
