Man Steals Harp, Jumps In River New-Mac Electric

In Pittsburgh, PA some guy decides to steal a harp. Not like a tiny one you tuck under your arm—no, a full-size, $30,000 harp. The fancy kind that lives in concert halls.

He drags it to the riverbank, strips down, and jumps straight into the river. No explanation, no audience—just him, nature, and one very confused musical instrument left behind.

Obviously, this doesn’t go great. He starts struggling, rescuers show up, and they fish him out—alive but likely rethinking his life choices. He’s in stable condition now, and somehow, the harp survived too. A miracle, considering harps aren’t known for their river readiness.

Police say the harp was stolen from a home in Bethel Park, and yep, they’re pressing charges. As for the “why” part? No one knows. Just a friendly reminder: don’t steal what you can’t swim with.
