Cops in California just busted three guys for stealing two trucks full of Legos. Apparently Legos are hot black-market items now. Deputies spotted a couple of suspicious box trucks tearing out of Mojave and pulled them over — jackpot. Inside? About a million bucks worth of high-end bricks, swiped somewhere on the way from Fort Worth to Moreno Valley.
The three suspects — Jose Lopez, Ruben Lopez Flores, and Freddy Hernandez Polinar — now face cargo theft, conspiracy, and possession of stolen vehicle charges. Which, let’s be honest, all sound way less fun than building a Millennium Falcon out of Legos.
Police built a pretty solid case, and recovered all the stolen sets, proving not only that crime doesn’t pay — but that it’s definitely not kids stuff.
