Bee Blitz Brings Beekeeper Bust

A Massachusetts woman really took the phrase “sting operation” a little too literally.

Rebecca Woods, beekeeper, clearly not afraid of commitment—showed up to an eviction in Longmeadow with a trailer full of beehives and a plan that can only be described as… bold.

Deputies are there to evict a guy from his $1.9 million home, and suddenly—boom—she starts popping lids and unleashing thousands of bees like it’s some kind of honey-flavored horror movie.

At one point you can hear deputies yelling, “She’s got a truck full of bees!” which, honestly, is not a sentence you ever want shouted in your direction.

Several officers got stung—heads, faces, the works. One ended up in the hospital. And when they told her some of them were allergic, she reportedly said, “Oh, you’re allergic? Good.”

That’s not helping your case, Rebecca.

She said she was just trying to stall so the homeowner—an older guy dealing with cancer—could print a last-minute stay. Noble-ish idea… absolutely terrible execution. Or… excellent execution, depending on how you feel about bees as weapons.

Either way, a jury wasn’t buzzing with sympathy—six charges, six months in jail.

Which, I guess, answers the question: can you weaponize bees?

Yes. Yes you can. It’s just… super illegal.

Here's grainy video of the bee-unleashing.  (Skip to 30 seconds in.)
