Break Room Blunder Sparks Firearm Fiasco

In Myrtle Beach, a story that feels very relatable until it absolutely isn’t.

Michael DeBiase, a police detective, apparently lost it over a coworker microwaving fish in the station break room. Which, yes, we all agree is a bold culinary choice in a shared space. But instead of passive-aggressively opening a window or loudly sighing like a normal person… DeBiase pulled his gun.

Actually pointed it at the guy.

All because of the smell.

No word on what kind of fish it was, which feels like key evidence here. Like, are we talking mild tilapia… or something that hits you from down the hallway?

Either way, the detective was arrested, charged with a felony for pointing a firearm, and has officially been fired. The other officer? Completely in the clear—legally, at least. Socially… that’s another story.
