Careless Convict’s Corvette Caper

You’d think getting out of prison would make you want to… not go right back. But apparently, Isaiah Walker had other travel plans.

He’s at a Love’s truck stop in Arizona, fresh out, needing a ride to Oklahoma… and spots an 18-wheeler loaded with ten brand-new Corvettes. Total value: about $1.25 million. Naturally, he decides, “Yeah, that’ll do.”

Strikes up a conversation with the driver, then allegedly throws him to the ground, hops in the cab, and just… drives off. Not in a subtle way either. It’s a giant car hauler stacked with bright, shiny Corvettes. Basically a rolling billboard that says, “Hey officers, HERE I AM!”

Deputies spot him almost immediately. There’s a short, not-very-graceful chase, some lane swerving, and then he pulls over and gives up.

Best part? He tells police he didn’t even want the Corvettes. Just needed a ride home.

Good news: driver’s okay, cars are fine. Bad news: his quick trip to Oklahoma turned into a two-and-a-half-year return stay in prison… which feels like the long way around.
