So, apparently, you can now book a hotel room on the Moon.
A startup called GRU Space is taking reservations for a lunar getaway they swear will open around 2032. You’ll just need to drop a deposit somewhere between $250K and $1 million, and that’s before the rocket ride—another cool $10 million or so.
The “hotel” doesn’t actually exist yet. But that’s not stopping people from handing over cash for inflatable pods that can host four lucky guests—and by “guests,” I mean astronauts who paid extra to camp in zero gravity.
Once you’re up there, you can go for a moonwalk, take a spin in a rover, or whack a golf ball into orbit. The visionary behind it all, Skyler Chan, started GRU Space at 22 and says it’s step one toward humans living on the Moon long-term.
