In Ohio, 91-year-old woman missed her daily wellness check call—you know, one of those “just making sure you’re alive” programs. Her daughter couldn’t reach her either, so folks went into a bit of a panic. Police show up, her car’s in the garage, nobody answers the door… so yeah, alarms are going off.
They finally get inside, bracing for the worst.
And there she is. Totally fine. In her bedroom. Absolutely locked in… playing a video game.
Not just playing...she was trying to beat her high score on a bubble pop game and basically ignored the entire outside world to do it.
Didn’t hear the phone. Didn’t hear the knocking. Didn’t hear the police.
As bad as a typical teen.
Police said everybody had a good laugh, which is great… but also, if I go missing someday, just check my high score before you panic.
