The arrest was unexpected, but the service was impeccable.
A couple on Mercer Island, Washington was settling in for the night, waiting on DoorDash and dreaming of Chipotle burritos. The doorbell rings, they open up… and instead of a delivery driver, it’s a police officer standing there with their dinner.
Turns out, the actual Door Dasher had been pulled over earlier that evening, and SURPRISE, he had an outstanding warrant. So off to jail he went. But Officer Roggenkamp, apparently not one to let good carnitas go cold, decided to take over the delivery himself.
So there he was, badge, uniform, burritos in hand, setting a whole new standard for “public service that goes the extra mile.” Literally.
