Two guys in California allegedly pulled off a $100,000 burglary—tools, copper wire, even vehicles—from a business in American Canyon.
Pretty big score… right up until they decided to document the whole thing like it was a vacation.
Yep. Selfies. During the crime.
Police say those photos helped ID their vehicles, which got shared with other agencies, and just like that—road trip’s over.
One guy gets pulled over the next day, and officers find the selfies… you know, the ones of him actively committing the burglary. He’s arrested on the spot.
The second guy? Picked up the following day in the other vehicle. Also arrested.
And to really wrap it up nicely, officers later served a search warrant and recovered some of the stolen stuff.
Moral of the story: if you’re going to commit a felony… maybe don’t post the behind-the-scenes to social media.
