Somewhere in Europe, there’s a thief surrounded by twelve tons of KitKats.
A truck carrying more than 400,000 bars vanished somewhere between Italy and Poland, and Nestlé’s still trying to figure out who took their chocolate road trip a little too literally.
The missing truck hasn’t turned up, and Nestlé says the great candy caper might cause a mini KitKat shortage right before Easter. Imagine explaining that to your kids — “Sorry, the bunny’s been robbed.”
The company’s trying to track the bars using batch codes, so technically every KitKat has its own little chocolate fingerprint. But let’s be honest — if someone offers you a discount KitKat out of a van, maybe… have a break from that one.
