Thom Watts

Thom Watts in the Morning is Thom's signature show and a Four States favorite! Leave behind your boring morning commute and crank up those old speakers to 11 (it's the only way to listen to truly great music)! Good music is timeless, so no matter how many decades Thom covers, the music hits just as hard as the day it was first released.

Thom Watts has been a mainstay in the Joplin radio market since 1991. He joined Zimmer Radio, Inc. as the Classic Hits 93.9 afternoon personality shortly following its launch in 2012, while simultaneously holding down the Creative Services Director beginning in 2013 until taking over as KJMK’s PD/Morning Personality in 2016.

He’s a lifelong resident of the Joplin area, growing up just a short drive west of Joplin in Oswego, Kansas. He graduated from both Coffeyville Community College and Pittsburg State University with degrees in communication and broadcasting. He currently serves on the PSU Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Thom currently lives in Pittsburg with his wife, Sarah, and two kids, Lily and Teagan.
