So there’s this cop in Lynnwood, Washington—last name “Merica,” which already sounds like a joke setup. He spots a guy stealing a bike and takes off on foot. But the thief’s pedaling like he’s in the Tour de France, and Merica’s not keeping up.
Then, out of nowhere, a guy in an old Ford pickup rolls by, sees what’s happening, and literally offers, “Need a lift?” Next thing you know, Officer Merica’s riding in the truck bed—chasing this dude down the highway.
They catch him. Turns out, the guy’s got about $30,000 worth of warrants hanging over him. And because the world has a sense of humor, the police posted the chest-cam footage online—set to “Fortunate Son.” You can’t make this stuff up.
